I’ve always been captivated by the idea of stepping into a world that is completely new, where everything feels unfamiliar and yet, strangely comforting. There’s something about traveling to places you’ve never been before, where the sights, sounds, and even the air feel different. It's that sense of disorientation that, oddly enough, brings a sense of clarity. That feeling of Dépaysement – a word in French that describes the sensation of being out of place, but also of being utterly alive in a new environment.

I first encountered that feeling during a trip to a foreign city, where I was surrounded by people speaking a language I couldn’t understand, the streets unfamiliar, and the food strange yet exciting. At first, there was a sense of unease, a feeling of being lost, but soon enough, that sense of confusion faded into something more profound. It became a dance with the unknown, a deep connection with a world that was unlike my own but still, in its own way, beautiful.

That experience, the one that makes you feel so far from home yet so deeply connected to the world, inspired me to create Dépaysement – a fragrance that captures that very feeling.

The fragrance opens with a burst of citrus and exotic fruits, bright and zesty, like stepping off the plane into a land where everything is new. The top notes of cherry, pineapple, and strawberry bring a playful sweetness that pulls you in, inviting you to explore and immerse yourself in the unfamiliar.

As the scent evolves, the heart of the fragrance reveals itself with a surprising warmth. Spicy cinnamon and clove dance with chocolate, creating a depth that mirrors the complexities of stepping into a new culture. It’s the feeling of getting to know something unfamiliar and realizing that beneath the surface, it’s full of richness and hidden layers, just waiting to be discovered.

The base notes ground the fragrance in a sense of warmth and comfort. Vanilla and amber provide a smooth, sweet foundation, while the precious woods add a sense of timelessness – a feeling of rootedness in a place that still feels like home, even though it's miles away from where you started.
